8 × 10 or 9 × 12?
An 8 × 10 often suits a smaller seating area. A 9 × 12 gives a larger sofa and chairs more room. Mark both outlines with painter’s tape before deciding.
A rug shop in the making
A good rug pulls the room together.
The sofa can stay. The room just needs a little grounding. We’re putting together a small collection of rugs worth building a room around.

What we’re putting together
We’re planning a curated, small selection of rugs in sizes people actually need. Warm neutrals, a bit of pattern, something with a point of view.
And a little honest guidance on size and placement. Because a rug should fit your life as well as your floor.
The measure twice department
Start with your furniture, then reach for the tape measure. These are starting points; your room gets the final say.

Put at least the front legs of the sofa and chairs on the rug to connect the seating area. All legs on works with a larger rug. A tiny rug floating under the coffee table can make things feel adrift.
Leave a visible strip of floor on both sides of a hallway runner. Measure door swings and leave clearance at each end so the runner doesn’t crowd the thresholds.
Place the rug under the lower two-thirds of the bed, extending beyond both sides and the foot. Bedside runners can work in a smaller room. Check where your feet land.
Dining room tip: measure with the chairs pulled out. Their back legs should stay on the rug when someone sits down.

A few things you might wonder
Soon. We’re still putting the shop together. Join the list and we’ll have your address when opening updates are ready.
Not yet. The swatches are illustrations of our style direction. Products will arrive when the store opens.
That’s the plan. For now, start with the guide above and tape out the dimensions on your floor. It’s less glamorous than a mood board, but very useful.
